It’s official: WIPA has launched in Las Vegas and we were thrilled to be the Event Chairs for the first meeting! All of this came together in just a few short weeks and the who’s who of the Las Vegas wedding community attended. Planning this event at Four Seasons Las Vegas was fast and furious. A meeting with Style Event Design kicked off the inspiration and design for the event. As guests entered the hotel, they were escorted to our favorite pool patio on the Las Vegas strip, PRESS. Drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres were served as Jeremy Cornwell with T Music Entertainment Group serenaded the crowd with music mixes of favorite hit tunes. After mixing and mingling, everyone moved upstairs to hear from our featured speaker, Angela Desveaux of WedLuxe. The newly renovated Acacia Ballroom at Four Seasons was draped by By Dzign into two sections: one for the education presentation, the second section for dining and entertainment. The education portion featured a mix white furniture and barstools at pub sized tables insuring all guests had a great view of the speaker stage. As you can see below, it was a full house! Angela Desveaux dished on the details of WedLuxe bridal show and magazine. When her presentation ended, guests were invited to lunch. The large white drape was pulled back to reveal the second half of the ballroom. Mirrored tables from Style Event Design were laid out in 2 “X” patterns with a runner of blush and burgundy floral and candles provided by Naakiti Floral. Menus, programs, name badges and invitations from Paper & Home coordinated with the blush and burgundy color scheme. Lunch from the Four Seasons catering team was absolutely delicious and finished with a sweet WIPA logo’ed dessert! Mike Fox handled announcements and music and LED Unplugged provided uplighting. Angela’s presentation was clearly influential because the buzz during lunch was infectious! All the best Las Vegas wedding planners, venues, florists, bakeries, stationers, photographers (and more) were chatting, creating and collaborating. When the time came to leave, Welcome Bag Shoppe provided a gift bag filled with goodies from Bouchon, Kiki de Montparnasse, Four Seasons and a WedLuxe magainze. Scheme is overwhelmed by the amount of love and support shown to us by the attendees, sponsors, members of the Las Vegas WIPA Board and National WIPA Board.
