We are excited to attend Catersource and Event Solutions this week here in Las Vegas, NV. We will be attending seminars taught by event professionals such as Preston Bailey, David Tutera and Marcy Blum.
Preston Bailey is an industry icon from New York. Preston’s career began when he was 19 as a fashion model. After 30 years he has become renowned in the industry for his ability to transform raw and ordinary spaces into events that his clients’ only thought they could dream about. Due to Preston’s ability to create such breathtaking and memorable events he developed a client base that includes royalty, socialites and celebrities such as Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Joan Rivers, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones among many others. Preston Bailey is also the author of four best-selling books in addition to being a sought after television guest and public speaker. We look forward to listening to Preston talk at the General Session!
David Tutera is yet another industry icon that we could not be more excited to have the chance to see speak. With his hit TV show ‘My Fair Wedding’, David has created himself by taking a passion for designing phenomenal events for all of his clients. David Tutera opened his own event planning business at the age of 19 and is now an owner of an award winning company called David Tutera Inc. He has been honored by Modern Bride Magazine as one of the Top 25 Trendestters of the Year and named Life & Style Magazine’s ‘Best Celebrity Wedding Planner’. His client list includes some celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Lopez, Tommy Hilfiger, The Rolling Stones and Vice President Al Gore at the White House. This icon is sure to put on a great session!
Marcy Blum is more than an event designer and planner, she is a conceptualist and expert author. She creates events that are unexpected in every detail and make the best use of the most traditional venues. Marcy launched her company in 1986 and began with corporate events. Her impressive portfolio includes the weddings of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, Billy Joel and Kate Lee and several events for Comedy Central among many other celebrity events. Marcy was also named a Trendsetter by Modern Bride Magazine and has received the silver spoon award from Food Arts Magazine. She has appeared on TV shows such as Oprah and Live with Regis & Kelly as well as co-authoring Wedding Planning for Dummies and Wedding Kit for Dummies. We are going to learn so much from Marcy!
