Jessica and Kurt were married on September 4, 2010 in Kurt’s mother’s backyard. The ceremony took place under a willow tree overlooking Lake Arlan, and was followed by a tented reception. Scheme Events traveled to Pekin, Illinois to coordinate the Labor Day weekend wedding.
These two are a blast to be around! Kurt is outgoing with a great sense of humor, and Jessica is sweet with an infectious laugh. They always seem to be having fun, while still being amazing and loving parents to their 18 month old son, Mayson. We are excited to give you a glimpse into their big day!
To the guests’ surprise, the wedding party arrived by boat. The first boat carried the bridal party and the groom. Once they were at the altar and the Bridal Chorus was playing, a second boat carrying the bride and her father came into view. As it approached the dock, a flock of white birds flew into the air from the lake. We could not have timed it more perfectly ourselves (ok, maybe we were on a radio with the driver of the boat to get the timing just right, but we did not plan the birds)!
We noticed at the ceremony that all the men had their boutonnieres on the wrong side! We doubt anyone else noticed, especially when there was such a beautiful bride walking down the aisle.
How cute is their son, Mayon? He does have gorgeous parents!
