Meeting Megan of Makeup in the 702 is like meeting a long lost best friend you never knew you had.  She immediately catches your heart with her great smile and warm heart.  She’s a true professional and has been doing wedding makeup in Las Vegas for years and years.  We got to spend a most excellent morning with her having our hair and make up done for our new head shots (pictures coming soon!!!).  We loved being in her chair, sharing snacks and playing games from dreamjackpot.com/de with her darling daughter.  Get all the best details about Makeup in the 702 below!

“We are THE only All Inclusive Hair & Makeup Company in Las Vegas that offers a 15 hour water and transfer resistant guarantee.  We specialize in Bridal hair & makeup, but are not limited to and love company head shots, maternity photos, boudoir and family portraits.”

As a make up artist, what advantages do you have when working with a coordinator?

“First, as a past bride that had a wedding coordinator I know that my clients that choose the experience will have a stress free well executed memorable day. When that client is sitting in my chair I can envision the tap on her should she will receive when it’s time to do the daddy daughter dance or cut the cake. I’ve also seen first hand a coordinator that has had to talk to the bride about changing ceremony locations because of weather or any other change to the original plan and timeline. This is the person I would want helping me handle those difficult yet uncontrollable situations and guiding me throughout the planning process or at least the day of.  I personally love to work with coordinators because of their experience with a venue or photographer and as another means of communication with our shared client.”

What are the benefits a bride will experience when using your services?

15 hour water and transfer resistant makeup. 25 years of experience, excellent communication before, during and after the event. Unparalleled Service and Quality products

What are some misconceptions about professional beauty services that you’d like to address?

“First, let’s all face it, at some point we’ve all sat down in the chair at the department store with XYZ brand, only to walk away dissatisfied and/or looking like a clown. There is a difference between what a licensed and educated professional makeup artist is and what a sales professional representing a global brand does. A true makeup artist does not and will not use only one brand of products and any good artist would carry several photo ready products in each category to cover the needs of any age, ethnicity and end result outcome. A professional makeup artist should also be highly trained and skilled in the art of lighting and photography. With that being said, a professional artist is also there to listen to the client, act upon their needs and not sell products or upsell services while performing a service. We are simply there to utilize our skills and knowledge based upon what a clients end result desire is.”

What do you want a bride to know about your business?

“I can’t express enough the importance of a custom blend foundation color, and one that covers all areas of skin that will show beyond the dress. Nothing looks worse in a photo that old tan lines and red ruddy skin. It’s imperative that EVERY product used be water proof and/or water resistant. To tears, perspiration and of course the heat of Las Vegas. When it comes to the quality and end result of your wedding photos, hire the very best hair & makeup artist that you can and urge anyone in your party that will be in your professional photos to do the same. Nothing stands out worse that a do it yourself makeup application next to a professional application.”
