Aside from being super excited for you and your new husband-to-be, the next thing friends and family look forward to is your wedding stationery because it’s a sneak peek into what the big day might be like and the kind of affair you’ll be throwing. Before you meet with the professionals who will bring your monumental celebration to life through stationery it’ll help to familiarize yourself with the names of some printing and designing processes.
Add-On –
A basic stationery suite includes an invitation, a reply card, and envelopes for both. Any helpful extras like reception cards, directions, itineraries, and maps are considered “add-ons”
Liners –
Add a little character to your invitations with colored or patterned paper that is adhered to the inside of the envelope
Blind embossing –
A print process similar to embossing, however, without the addition of ink or foil. Letters and images appear raised but colorless. Blind embossing is normally used for borders and monograms, but not for entire invitation wording because the letters can be hard to see.
