The Smith Center Wedding: Christina and Pierre

February 20, 2019 - written by Tara

Christina and Pierre are so so sexy and I instantly fell in love, but they fell in love at the circus! They met as fellow artists in Cirque du Soleil’s production “O” at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip. They started out as friends goofing off backstage and taking workout classes together. Through doing this, they built a beautiful friendship, and through building their friendship, they found love and romance you can’t help but want more of.

Christina and Pierre selected The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas as their venue. They adored the details and the sophistication and elegant vibe of the space. Their attire choices mimicked the venue. Christina selected a two piece dress from Couture Bride by Mikaella Bridal. She purchased a lace topper from BHLDN to wear for the ceremony and removed it for the reception. She rocked both looks! Pierre wore a classic grey tuxedo with black accents. The bridesmaids wore black, floor-length dresses of their choice and the groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos. SHARP! Certainly a favorite look of ours!

We send our love to Christina and Pierre and secretly stalk their Instagram for more sexiness! C+P can also be seen on Perfete!

Las Vegas destination wedding ideas

August 13, 2015 - written by Rissa

If you are considering Las Vegas for your destination wedding, you might have an idea of what Las Vegas weddings are all about.  But real weddings in Las Vegas may surprise you (and your guests!).  Yes, it’s easy to find a chapel to drive thru, or a famous celebrity impersonator to act as your officiant.  There are also stunning landscapes, beautiful lakeside venues and of course, the always impressive lights of the Las Vegas strip.  Las Vegas offers something for every one of your guests.  Dining, shopping, entertainment, spas, travel and so much more.  Your guests will love getting away for a weekend to a place where they can try out a new restaurant, see a favorite show, stay in a swanky hotel, go on a shopping spree, spend time at the spa and then dance the night away.  Or they can head to Red Rock Canyon or Lake Mead for outdoor adventures like hiking, boating, cycling and horseback riding.  What other place in the world offers so much?  During the week of your wedding, you have the luxury of enjoying time with your guests instead of finding ways to keep them busy.  There is plenty built in to our city to make the entertaining easy and memorable!

See inspiration from real Las Vegas weddings below.

Las Vegas weddings look like this:dEmma & Andy’s wedding at Valley of Fire {see credits and more information here}.  Places like Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon provide that stunning Southwestern scenery only available in this part of the world.  Rock formations, mountains and dry lake beds are all possibilities within a 1 hour drive from the heart of the city.

Las Vegas weddings look like this:999Martha & Ian’s wedding at Legends Ranch {see credits and more information here}.  While not common, there are a few ranches in Las Vegas to host your wedding.  You can play up the cowboy spirit or take a different spin and use the outdoor setting for whatever your heart desires.  It’s a far cry from a ballroom or banquet hall.

Las Vegas weddings look like this:2015-01-14_0007-1Carrie & Kaz’s wedding at The Smith Center {see credits and more information here}.   Sophisticated, cultural and elegant are three of the adjectives used to describe this newer building in the Downtown Las Vegas area.  This space is most often as a performing hall, but weddings are also allowed.  No place in the city compares!

Las Vegas weddings look like this:View More: http://j-annephotography.pass.us/britnibrandonBritni & Brandon’s wedding at Springs Preserve {see credits and more information here}.  The number of guests (and couples) who are wowed by this desert garden space are almost impossible to count.  Locals and guests alike are surprised by the possibilities of a wedding at Springs Preserve.

Las Vegas weddings look like this:View More: http://adamtrujillo.pass.us/armstrongweddingAdrienne & Billie Joe’s vow renewal at the Neon Museum {see credits and more information here}.  For a feel of that vintage Vegas flair, you’ll want to head downtown where that spirit still remains.  Most notably in the outdoor Neon Museum where iconic signs go to rest.  But don’t worry, they provide the perfect backdrop for a fantastic party.

If water front property is more your style, you will want to check out Lake Las Vegas.  Two flagship hotels with beautiful wedding locations provide a feeling absolutely unique to this area of town.  Most visitors have never traveled the 25 minutes to experience the lake side setting, but we promise, it’s worth the drive.
