When couples come to me with a theme for their wedding day I actually get really excited. I have been challenged with robots, travel, baseball, red solo cups and lightbulbs, but when Faye and Andy approached me with a James Bond themed wedding I had to hit up Case Keefer for his James Bond movie collection to freshen up on how I can create a wedding around sexy woman, amazing cars and martinis. I couldn’t wait!
Faye and Andy teamed up with Paper and Home for a killer wedding invitation. The main invite resembled a bullet hole and used clever verbiage like license to marry and top secret. The color scheme of champagne, black and blue was used throughout the ceremony programs, escort cards and menus as well.
Guests were greeted with a welcome bag filled with an itinerary for the weekend, water, popcorn and Faye’s favorite chocolate, M&Ms. To top it off, each guest was presented with their own Vesper Martini Kit with instructions from Bond himself, “Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel. Got it?'” Welcome Bag Shoppe provided everything needed in adorable packaging, of course.
The wedding day quickly approached and Faye and Andy couldn’t wait to treat their guests to an awesome cocktail hour before their heartfelt Jewish ceremony. Guests had a chance to drop off their cards in a briefcase secured with handcuffs before finding their seats to find a mini box of M&Ms wrapped in kraft paper, stamped with the date and a top secret emblem and finished off with red striped tape and bakers twine to resemble a top secret box. WBS loves anything mini, and so did the guests! Tables were named after Faye and Andy’s favorite Bond movies like Casino Royal, Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice. Their grand entrance was to “The Name’s Bond… James Bond,” and their choreographed first dance was to “Diamonds are Forever.” It was classic! Their cake topper was to die for and the photo strips in the photo booth really topped off the theme.
I can’t thank all of Faye and Andy’s vendors enough for really embracing the theme and having a blast with it. Faye and Andy, you’re truly an inspiration. Your love and kindness for one another is sincere and heartfelt. I am honored to have been your wedding planner and I look forward to celebrating again soon. Best wishes to you both and to your darling families. Mazel Tov!
